Dr. Sabrina Chandra

Dr. Sabrina’s journey began as a global citizen, living in vibrant cities such as Singapore, London, and Dubai. This diverse upbringing ignited her passion for connecting with people, exploring cultures, and savoring local cuisines. She discovered her true calling in working with children, whether it was teaching kindergarteners the piano or mentoring high schoolers, and she quickly realized that a career dedicated to their growth and well-being would bring her the greatest fulfillment.

Dr. Sabrina moved to the United States to pursue her education at Johns Hopkins University, where she majored in molecular and cellular biology. She then attended The University of Pennsylvania for dental school, where she found her true home during her pediatric rotations. Drawing from her own experiences as a nervous patient, she developed a unique ability to connect with children and ease their fears. Her compassion did not go unnoticed; esteemed faculty recognized her dedication, selecting her for the Community Oral Health Honors program and the Vulnerable Populations Honors clinic. In these roles, she devoted herself to treating at-risk patients, from those seeking asylum to individuals escaping challenging circumstances. Grateful for the privilege of serving society’s most vulnerable, Dr. Sabrina chose to specialize in pediatric dentistry at The University of Rochester, to master how to provide expert care for all children.

After completing her specialization, Dr. Sabrina traded her snow boots for flip-flops and moved to sunny San Diego, where she has thrived ever since. She always looks forward to meeting new patients and their families, using her calm and friendly demeanor to create a comfortable environment. Dr. Sabrina believes in treating the whole child, prioritizing education about oral health for both her patients and their families. She loves discussing teeth and the delicious foods they can chew, and is always eager to hear about her patients’ favorite dishes! When she’s not creating healthy, happy smiles, Dr. Sabrina enjoys running, hiking, and cooking. Staying true to her love for food, she cherishes exploring farmers’ markets and indulging in San Diego’s booming vegan food scene with her husband!Â
